After five months of research, expert interviews, and multi-stakeholder workshops, the 202030 - Think and Do Tank are launching a white paper and hosting an exhibition exploring a critical question: Can shopping centres become centres for a circular society?
The reality is: shopping malls face increasing vacancy and regulatory risk if they remain focused on linear consumption. The cost of inaction will ultimately exceed the cost of change.
The white paper introduces a Solution Pathway Framework: a modular, step by step approach for shopping centres to transition toward circular value creation.
The public exhibition, brings this vision to life, showcasing circular solutions from innovators like Circular Berlin (Repair Deal), Fix First, Kaffeeform, Kleiderei, Madaster, MOOT, Prof. Natascha von Hirschhausen, Ninyes Inc, OUR SHIFT®, Outzip – Outdoor Rental Marketplace, Rack'n White (Deutsche Kleiderstiftung), SHIFT Microfactory (VORN — The Berlin Fashion Hub), SOLK and Urban Fibers, reframing malls from places of transaction to platforms for participation.
