The Escapism outfit is a two-piece ensemble, featuring a blazer and ruffled trousers, designed to evoke the feeling of being overwhelmed.
The silhouette and exaggeration of form, dimensions, material weight and use of color are a representation of the inner "monster" that is born from fear and disillusionment and grows as we feed it. This outfit is not meant to be worn by humans, as it would consume and suffocate the wearer, instead, it serves as a metaphor for the feeling of wanting to escape into an inner mystical world, a way to express our innermost feelings and desires.
COLORFUL MANIA AS A COPING MECHANISM
Escape is a universal human desire, born from the fear of uncertainty and disillusionment with reality. We seek refuge in various forms, whether it be in delusion, addiction, an inner fantasy world, the digital realm, or fashion. It is a manifestation of our innate need to transcend the dysfunctionality of our existence or the system we live in, to find solace in something greater than ourselves. Through this outfit, the collective explored this universal human condition, diving into the complexities of the human experience and the longing for something beyond the present reality.
